The two-dimensional structure study is the research and development of a potential structure system founded on the most basic logic of woven textiles: the overlap of straight horizontal and vertical lines.
By transforming the lines from their straightness to a free-flowing abstract line drawing, we create a line grid that can be used as a founding principle for future structures.
By applying a particular kind of logic when working on these drawings we create intricate designs that can be deconstructed, laser cut, and assembled into overlapping modular structures.
